Is it just me, or are these things always so hard to write?!

It really makes you think about how much your background has influenced the person you are today. In a nutshell:

I grew up moving around a lot - living in six different states before I reached middle school. By the time I was 12 years old, we had settled in a small city in Nebraska, where I completed all of middle school, high school, and college. After graduation, I immediately packed up and moved to Las Vegas, where I've now been for 15 years.

Las Vegas has shown me love, motherhood, heartbreak, love again, and then finally helped me realize the life calling that I've been searching for all these years - working with kids.

It might be a shorter list to mention all the things I HAVEN'T gotten myself interested in over the years (thanks, ADHD!), but here we go ...

I've done everything from singing to sports to art to working with animals to reading to gardening to decorating to writing to cooking to well, ... I've even put on a tail and attended kids' birthday parties as a mermaid!

I currently live in my VERY decorated home with a doting husband, my 10-year-old daughter, Cora, my 8-year-old son, Bear, three dogs, two cats, two fish, six chickens, and one bunny. Needless to say, I never sit down!
